In order to discover the good products of the region, the winegrowers of Vaud regularly offer wine tastings in their vineyards to tourists. Some wineries also offer you a visit of their vineyards to discover the process of cultivation, collection and elaboration of wine, accompanied by a delicious gastronomic meal.
During your stay in Vaud, you will also have the pleasure of attending the winegrowers’ festival in Vevey. Recognized by the UNESCO heritage, it takes place only once a generation. The purpose of this festival is to pay tribute to the wine-making traditions through a dazzling show on the cultivation of the vines as well as to award prizes to the winemakers for their merit.
Jura Vaudois Regional Nature Park
The Regional Nature Park of the Vaud Jura offers you sumptuous landscapes, all along your walks, hikes or trails. Discover the wooded pastures, the dry stone walls typical of the region and the traditional chalets, while walking through the Alps and enjoying a magnificent view of the Lake Geneva basin. Take a break in one of the mountain pasture bars or chalets of the park to taste the local products.
Nautical tourism in Vaud
Lake Geneva offers you the possibility to discover several water activities such as paddle boarding, boat tours, kayak rentals, swimming and diving. If the weather is not suitable, you can always walk along the shores of the lake and admire its beauty with a view of the Swiss cities along the shore. When the sky is clear, you can see the summit of Mont Blanc on the opposite shore of the lake.

Activities of the communes of Vaud
For sportsmen and nature lovers, you will be able to recharge your batteries by taking advantage of the many hikes in the heart of the Swiss mountains. Most of the hikes are close to the hotel and can be reached by public transport (SBB) or by freeway. For some hikes, you will come across a chalet where you can taste fresh products and wines from the cantonal cellars. During the winter season, you can also go to the ice rink or to the nearby ski resorts.
The nearest ski area to the hotel is less than 25 minutes away by car, so skiers can make the most of their day on the snow. From the top of the ski slopes, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the lake. After your day of sports, you can stop at one of the inns in the heart of the Swiss Alps to enjoy a delicious fondue with Gruyere and other Swiss cheeses.
For festival lovers, you can go to Montreux, a 35-minute drive from the hotel, to attend the Jazz Festival.
